A Klydo is a looping animation that plays on the face of a Klydoclock - a shelf clock designed to display animated art. Every Klydo was created by an independent artist. The clock is the canvas. Your loop is what lives on it.
Klydoclocks sit in living rooms, studios, offices, and bedrooms. Your animation doesn't live on a screen, it lives in a space.
12 Animations. One Collection.
A Collection is a set of 12 Klydos (looping animations) under one theme or visual identity.
Our art team reviews every animation in your Collection individually for quality, cohesion, and fit with the Klydoclock aesthetic. If a few animations need work, we'll tell you which ones and send you back to fix them. If the full set is approved, you publish and go live.
FAQ
Yes. You retain full ownership of your work. Klydoclock licenses your animations for display on the clock. You don't give up anything.
If 4 or fewer animations need work, we tell you exactly which ones and give you the chance to fix them. If more than 4 need work, you go back into the upload flow and resubmit. You're never locked out. You keep going until it's right.
Our curation team reviews Collections and gets back to you shortly after submission. You won't be waiting for weeks.
You can use animations you've already made, as long as they're in MP4 or GIF format, square ratio, and under 60MB. Most animators find they already have work that qualifies.
Nothing. There's no membership fee, no submission fee, no commission until you earn. You upload, we review, you publish. That's it.
That depends on your Collection and how much it resonates with Klydoclock owners. Freshly Cooked has 2,841 downloads. Mikko Beste has 16,200 favorites. Some artists treat it as passive income alongside client work. Others build it into their main income stream.
Looping animations in a square format. Clean, rhythmic, visually compelling work tends to perform well - illustration, motion design, abstract loops, character animation. If your work looks good on a screen, it'll look great on a clock.
Upload one animation. You'll see it rendered on a real Klydoclock right there on screen, immediately. No commitment. No payment. If it doesn't feel right, you walk away. If it does, you build from there.
Via PayPal. In regions where PayPal isn't available, we support alternative payment methods to make sure you get paid wherever you are.
